The CraftRoots For Good founders have over thirty years of experience working with individuals, families, local communities and community development organizations. Through CraftRoots For Good they will build on those existing relationships to channel funds to three of the most strategic areas: Soroti, Uguanda; Busia County Kenya, and rural Haiti (see the red 'sunspots' on the image above for approx locations).
In Kenya and Uganda, there is fantastic work being done to help families and villages develop away from poverty, towards self-care and independence. This includes adequate healthcare and education opportunities. Along with financial support, CRfG will organize service trips to West Africa when opportunites arise. The hope is to develop a true partnership where friends of CRfG can support and connect with our African friends and they in turn help us better understand life, humanity, and ourselves from a broader worldview.
Haiti, currently, is very politcally unstable and a dangerours place to live, work and visit. Our partnership will be made primarily through working to provide school lunches and possible child education sponsorships through highly trusted relationships at work in Haiti.
